A night of fun turns into a night of horror when you find yourself trapped in a never-ending carnival as the most death-prone college student ever!
Harlequinade is a timeloop horror romance visual novel about a college student trapped in a carnival that resets every time they die. Can you trust the clowns there to help you see the day through?
In this preview of the carnival, you'll be able to...
- customize your protagonist from 2 character looks with a changeable name and pronouns
- meet the 2 male love interests at the carnival, the Harlequin and the Pierrot
- die several times
This demo is right under an hour long.
Content Warnings
This game features murder, killing, death in a variety of ways (car crashes, electrocution, etc.), and suicide. None of this is displayed or written in graphic detail, but we advise this game to only be played by older teens and up.

When will the full game be released? January - February 2027
Will the full game be NSFW or 18+? No.
What is a "harlequinade"? A harlequinade is a type of commedia dell'arte play where the Harlequin is one of the leading characters, typically following him pursue a romantic relationship with Columbina.
How many endings will the full game have? Currently it's planned to have at least 1 ending for both Harlequin and Pierrot's routes as well as several dead ends. More may be added during development.

Literally a fan game of The Freak Circus (fun tho)
Literally an original mature game about time loops and circuses.
I enjoy TFC just as much as this game, but they are very different. And it's disrespectful to both creators if you just call their games adjacent to one another for purely similar settings while everything else is different.
literally how?? The plot is pretty much entirely different from TFC and the characters are too, in most ways.
OMG I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE ANOTHER VISUAL NOVEL BUT I WAS ACTUALLY SURPRISED BY THE PLOT TWIST. I loved it, I feel like it's really original, I've never seen a story like this before, I hope you don't abandon it :c
